| Geotechnical services performed by KTI involve geotechnical
explorations and engineering analyses including field and laboratory
applications. Fieldwork for geotechnical exploration includes boring
layout and elevation determination, drilling and sampling of test
borings and drafting boring logs. Recommendations include soil and
rock bearing capacities, foundation types, site preparation and pavement
design parameters. |
Laboratory work includes testing and analyzing soil samples
and reporting test results. The production of geotechnical reports is
accomplished using both field and laboratory data to aid KTI in presenting
the findings, analyzing results and making subsequent recommendations
related to each specific project.
